Zion Road Walk-Cycle Works: What They Mean for River Valley Green Parcel C
URA's people-centric journeys page, last updated 4 June 2026, carries a Zion Road plan first announced in the 2025 planning material: up to two road lanes are targeted for conversion into wider footpaths and cycling paths by 2026. The same plan says the bus shelter opposite Great World City will be expanded and that pedestrians will receive sheltered connectivity to Zion Riverside Food Centre.
This is neighbourhood infrastructure context around a Parcel C site beside Great World MRT. It is not a claim that the future development has a direct covered link, a particular entrance or a guaranteed travel time.
The three parts of the published plan
| Planned item | Buyer-relevant question | Evidence limit |
|---|---|---|
| Wider footpaths and cycling paths | Could short trips between Great World, Zion Road and the riverfront become more comfortable? | Final alignment and delivery details are not a Parcel C site plan |
| Expanded bus shelter opposite Great World City | Could bus interchange and weather protection improve at a key daily destination? | It does not create a private development shuttle or station entrance |
| Sheltered connectivity to Zion Riverside Food Centre | Does the area offer a more practical all-weather route to food and daily needs? | Route continuity and opening timing must be checked when works are delivered |
Why it matters beside Great World MRT
Parcel C's award record places the 99-year residential site next to Great World MRT and identifies SMCL Haven 3 Pte. Ltd. and CSC Land Group (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. as the successful tenderers. The Zion Road plan helps answer what happens after a buyer exits the station or Great World City and continues toward the riverfront streets. It adds a public-realm layer to the site's existing rail and mall access.
How buyers should use it
- Use it for route quality. Wider paths, cycling space and a larger shelter are relevant to walking, wheeling and bus transfers, especially in wet weather.
- Keep public and private evidence separate. The plan does not establish Parcel C's gate location, covered driveway, bicycle facilities, views or a direct link into Great World City.
- Recheck before committing. The project overview, location guide and floor-plan status should be read with the project-details page; the final price-status page remains TBA until the consortium releases project material.
The published plan does not provide a project-specific construction schedule or guaranteed travel time. Treat it as dated public-mobility context and inspect the eventual route before assuming a premium or rental effect.
